During the late 1980’s, I spent my summers here in Charleston on the Isle of Palms with my parents -- local real estate agents. I always loved the beaches and especially historic Charleston, however I felt the need to spread my wings and try my luck in the big city. Starting out in Washington DC after graduating from the University of Maryland in 1991, I worked for the Cellular Telecom Industry Association in public relations. After three and half years and all the politics I could handle, I moved to Atlanta, GA. I worked for the national public relations firm - GCI, Atlanta… where believe it or not, there was even more politics than DC. Still young an d idealistic, I picked up and moved west to San Diego, CA in January 1998. While there, I worked for the Mixed-Use development company OliverMcMillan. It’s there I started learning about leasing and various real estate markets. OM had projects all over the west coast and Midwest. I was on the marketing development team and was the liaison between outside leasing companies and our corporate office for those projects.
During that time, I began competing in triathlons for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training Program. My Dad traveled all the way from Charleston to Hawaii to watch me compete in my biggest race ever – a Half-Ironman. It was during that visit, I realized it was time for me to not only move back east but home to be with my family. Within six months, I was back in Charleston working in the family business of residential real estate. For the past six years, I have not thought about moving anywhere else, Mt. Pleasant is now my home and where my husband and I plan to stay.
I enjoy helping people find the perfect home and making the transition to our beautiful area as stress free and enjoyable as possible. Moving anywhere is a big decision, trust me, but having a professional who not only cares, but knows the area and what processes need to be followed is key to making that move easier. I look forward to helping you and your families enjoy our great city!
