Dunes West real estate is highly sought after by homebuyers looking for a true Lowcountry lifestyle. A gated, master-planned community, Dunes West is located in Mount Pleasant, just a short drive from the beach and Downtown Charleston. Dunes West residents enjoy an abundance of amenities including an 18-hole golf course, a fitness center, two swimming pools (one with water slides and the other for lap swimming), boat storage, boat ramp and a marsh front clubhouse, and nine lighted tennis courts (six hard courts and three clay courts).

The community of Dunes West is comprised of several subdivisions. Wagner Point, Brickfall Estates, Marsh Landing and Osprey Cove are some of the original Dunes West subdivisions characterized by 3,000 to 6,000 square feet custom-built homes set on home sites sized at least one-half acre. Most homes built between 1992 and 2001 are in one of the original Dunes West subdivisions.

Most new construction in Dunes West, including homes built from 2001 to present, are the products of John Weiland Homes. Newer Dunes West subdivisions include The Harbour, Marsh Cove, Darts Point, and Richmond Cove. Although the majority of homes in these subdivisions were built by John Weiland, the larger homes on premium marshfront or deep water lots are largely custom homes built by local builders.

Dunes West is a short, 10-minute drive or boat ride to Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island. Children can ride their bicycles to Charles Pinckney Elementary School and Cario Middle School. The new Wando High School is just a few miles away at its new location just off Highway 17, also known as Johnnie Dodds Boulevard. Mount Pleasant Towne Centre, numerous grocery stores, and Interstate 526 are within five miles of Dunes West.
