Harbor Woods, James Island, SC Real Estate

Harbor Woods is one of the best overall values for homebuyers looking for traditional homes loaded with character on James Island. Most homes in Harbor Woods were built in the mid-1970s to early 1980s.  Fortunately, the original builders did not succumb to the pressures of contemporary architecture during that period.  Because Harbor Woods was established prior to the Home Owners Association trend that became commonplace in later developments, its residents can park their boats in their driveways, landscape as they see fit, and even modify the exterior of their homes without fear of neighborhood fines!

Harbor Woods homes along Grand Concourse Drive, Regatta Road, Anchor Road, Seafarer Way, Stillwater Drive and Harbortowne Road tend to have big yards filled with healthy, old oak trees and homes with multiple porches dressed with ferns, posts wrapped in confederate jasmine, and dormer windows.  Harbor Woods is truly an atypical neighborhood on James Island or any other municipality in the Charleston Metro area.

It is difficult to summarize homes in Harbor Woods due to the variety of architecture present in the neighborhood.  On average, Harbor Woods properties range from 1,600 to 2,500 square feet, have at least three bedrooms and two bathrooms, and include plenty of additional features.

Positioned between Harborview Road and Fort Johnson Road, Harbor Woods’ location is hard to beat.  Its two main entrances are off Nabors Drive and Fort Johnson Road (around the corner from James Island Charter High School) directly opposite Bayview FarmsHarbor Woods residents driving to Folly Beach or Downtown Charleston can choose which route to take depending on the errands that need to be accomplished that day.
