Woodward Pointe, James Island, SC Real Estate

Woodward Pointe homes provide a refreshing change from the multitude of new construction neighborhoods on James Island and the greater Charleston area. In an effort to avoid becoming another “cookie cutter” neighborhood, only local custom builders were allowed to build in Woodward Pointe.

Built between 2002 and 2006, most Woodward Pointe homes range from 2,200 to 3,000 square feet with four bedrooms and three full bathrooms. High ceilings, two-car garages, granite countertops, hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, and high quality crown molding and baseboards are standard features in most homes in Woodward Pointe. Only cement fiberboard, wood, brick, and stucco are allowable exterior sidings. No vinyl siding!

The roughly five-mile, no-stoplight drive to Downtown Charleston from Woodward Pointe, combined with the neighborhood’s close proximity to Folly Beach, keeps Woodward Pointe one of the most desirable addresses on James Island.

Nearby restaurants and bars such as Bagel Nation, The Kickin’ Chicken, Mustard Seed, Athens Restaurant & Grill, as well as new additions to the James Island restaurant scene such as Twist, J Paulz, and Muddy Waters, are some of the options available to Woodward Pointe residents. Nearby James Island County Park is a favorite spot for recreation and is only a few minutes’ drive down Harborview Road from the Woodward Pointe entrance.
